Terms & Conditions

• To confirm a booking, a minimum deposit of 30% of the total tour price is required.
• The remaining balance must be paid no later than 48 hours before the start of the tour.
• Payments can be made by credit card, bank transfer, or authorized digital platforms.
• Bookings are only confirmed once the deposit is received and a confirmation email is sent by our team.

• Cancellations made more than 15 days in advance: 80% refund of the amount paid.
• Cancellations between 14 and 5 days before the tour: 50% refund.
• Cancellations with less than 5 days’ notice or no-shows: no refund will be issued.

• All tours that include entry to Machu Picchu, Huayna Picchu, or Machu Picchu Mountain, or train tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• These services are regulated by the Peruvian Ministry of Culture and rail companies, and cannot be reissued, modified, or refunded once confirmed.
• Therefore, the deposit for these tours is non-refundable under any circumstance.

• Certain day tours offered directly by Peru Biking Tours allow free cancellation if the request is made at least 24 hours before the tour start time.
• If the cancellation is made within this window, the client will receive a full refund.
• If the cancellation is made less than 24 hours before the tour, or in case of a no-show, 100% of the tour cost will be charged.
• This policy only applies to tours that explicitly state the free cancellation option at the time of booking.

• Requests for date changes or tour modifications must be made in writing at least 7 days in advance.
• Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional costs, depending on the services already secured.

7.1 Assumption of Risk and Liability Waiver

• All participants are required to sign a liability waiver prior to the start of the tour.
• Mountain biking carries inherent risks, and participants agree to take part at their own risk.
• Peru Biking Tours is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, illnesses, lost belongings, or damages that may occur during the activity.

7.2 Medical Assistance

• In the event of an accident, our team will immediately activate medical assistance protocols, including transport to the nearest clinic if necessary.
• Medical costs are not included in the tour price and must be paid by the participant.
• We highly recommend that all participants purchase travel insurance that covers adventure sports.

8.1 Safety Rules

• Wearing a helmet, gloves, knee and elbow pads is mandatory throughout the ride.
• Participants must follow all instructions from the guide and comply with local laws and customs.
• Peru Biking Tours reserves the right to remove any participant from the activity, without refund, if they pose a risk to themselves, others, or disrupt the experience.

8.2 Bicycle Use and Responsibility

• Each participant will be provided with a bicycle in perfect working condition.
• If any mechanical issue is found, the participant must immediately inform the guide.
• Any damage caused by misuse, reckless riding, stunts, or failure to follow instructions will be assessed, and repair costs will be charged to the client.

We promote responsible travel. All participants must:

• Respect local communities and traditions.
• Avoid leaving trash or damaging natural areas.
• Follow Leave No Trace principles.

Any participant who violates these principles may be removed from the activity without refund.

• Photos and videos may be taken during the tours for promotional purposes.
• By joining a tour, the participant authorizes the use of their image unless otherwise stated in writing before the start of the tour.
