FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
About the Pisac Lagoons eBike Tour

1. Do I need cycling experience to join this tour?

Not at all. This tour is designed for all levels and is perfect for beginners. Thanks to the pedal-assist technology of the eBikes, you can easily ride uphill and across rural trails without needing prior mountain biking skills.

2. What is the maximum altitude reached during the ride?

The highest point of the route is at Pumacocha Lagoon, approximately 4,200 meters (13,780 ft) above sea level. The ascent is smooth and fully assisted by the eBike’s motor, allowing you to ride comfortably at high altitude.

3. How long is the actual riding time?

The total cycling time is about 2 to 2.5 hours, divided into three segments with rest stops, cultural visits, and time for photos at each lagoon.

4. What happens if I get tired or want to stop early?

Our team carries support equipment and basic mechanical tools. If you’re tired or feel unwell, there are rest points along the route and the guide will adapt the pace. In exceptional cases, our transport can meet you earlier at designated points.

5. Is the lunch really included and what does it consist of?

Yes, lunch is included and is prepared by local families in Kinsacocha. It typically includes fresh grilled trout, native potatoes, Andean salads, and organic quinoa. A vegetarian option is available on request.

6. Can I bring my children or older family members?

Yes. This tour is family-friendly. Children from 12 years old and up can participate as long as they meet a minimum height requirement (approx. 1.40 m / 4.6 ft). Older adults are also welcome if they’re in good health and comfortable with light physical activity.

7. What kind of clothes and gear should I bring?

We recommend waterproof and layered clothing, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and a refillable water bottle. A camera or smartphone with enough storage is ideal for photos. If you plan to buy textiles, bring some cash.

8. When is the best time of year for this tour?

The best season is during the dry months between April and October. The weather is more stable, the skies are clear, and the landscapes are at their most photogenic.

9. What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?

We operate rain or shine, and our guides come prepared. However, if the weather conditions pose a safety risk, we may modify or reschedule the tour in coordination with you. In light rain, we simply adjust clothing and continue.

10. How do I book and how far in advance should I reserve?

You can book directly through the “Book now” buttons on this page or contact us via WhatsApp or email. We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance to ensure availability, especially during high season (May–September).
