FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

About High Sacred Valley Enduro MTB Adventure

1. Is this tour suitable for beginners?

No. This tour is designed for intermediate and advanced mountain bikers. You should have prior experience riding on technical singletrack with loose rocks, stone stairs, narrow sections, and natural obstacles. Riders should be confident with braking, line choice, and handling steep terrain.

2. What kind of bike and gear are included?

We provide a high-end full-suspension mountain bike specifically prepared for technical enduro trails. The package includes a certified helmet and cycling gloves. Upon request, we can provide knee pads or additional protection at no extra cost. Riders may bring their own gear if they prefer.

3. How much actual riding will we do?

The tour consists of two main descents covering about 16.8 km in total. Each descent takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the pace of the group. You will spend around 4 hours on the bike during the day, with shuttle assistance between trails.

4. What kind of terrain will we encounter?

Expect a mix of fast-flowing singletrack, loose rock sections, Inca stairs, cobbled paths, narrow ledges along cliffs, natural drops, and forest trails. Some sections require precise line choice and technical handling. The trails offer a balance of adrenaline and cultural scenery.

5. What does the included lunch consist of?

The included box lunch features a hearty sandwich (with options like chicken or trout), seasonal fruit, energy bar, and water. We also provide energy snacks and hydration throughout the ride.

6. What happens if I feel tired or cannot finish the ride?

Our support vehicle is available at designated points to assist riders who prefer to skip part of a descent or need to stop early. Safety and enjoyment are our priorities. You can rejoin the group at the next stage or wait at a rest point.

7. Will we visit cultural or historical sites?

Yes. The ride passes near the archaeological site of Raqaypata and along original Inca trails. We also ride past communities like Socma, where you can see traditional farming and interact with local families if time permits.

8. Is altitude sickness a concern?

While we start at high altitude, the tour is designed to descend progressively. Most riders do well if they have spent at least two days acclimatizing in Cusco. We recommend staying hydrated and communicating with the guide if you feel unwell.

9. What is the best time of year to do this tour?

The dry season from April to October offers the most stable weather and trail conditions. During the rainy season (November to March), the tour can still operate with proper gear, but expect more challenging terrain due to mud and wet surfaces.

10. How do I book or ask more questions?

Click the Book now button on this page or contact us directly via WhatsApp or email. We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance to ensure bike preparation and availability.
