Arequipa is denominated "the white city" with 2300m.o.s.l, located between the mountain range and South coast of Peru. It was founded on great valley between Misti volcano (5825m) and Chachani snowscape (6070m) the 15 of August of 1540 by Garci Manuel de Carbajal. At the moment Arequipa department has become the center of the commerce and the industry of the south of Peru, also is the second most important and largest city.
Between the main tourist attractive are the Colca and Cotahuasi canyon, the last one is the deepest in the world, also it has snowcaped and volcanoes all of then over 6000m high, irrigated extensive and fertile valleys with its mighty rivers beginning on the Andes and finishing at the pacifico ocean, innumerable archaeological sites, national reserve of fauna and flora of the highland and coast, that make a unforgettable visit for the visitors.
